Beat Israel tonight in a game that was more noted for the absurd reffing and Israeli diving than the match itself. We got the job done, albeit with Irish-Palestine supporters screaming and waving flags from a wall close to the field and the excitement of the night was probably highlighted by the police escort to the match with the above mentioned Palestine protesters spitting on our bus thinking we were the Israelis. Classy. Definitely provided an interesting twist to the proceedings.

My ankle was still banged up and so I dressed but didnt play. It was frustrating, but I’ve been doing this for so long now, I guess I’m getting a lot better of just putting frustrating things like that behind me and seeing the positive in terms of the great 2 weeks I had with the girls and the progress we made as a team the whole time. It will be interesting to see if Sue (our interim coach) gets the job. Based on our performance I would say she deserves it, as well as the time she has put in with the FA as a underage coach, but I am sure there has been a lot of fantastic candidates as well. It will definitely be interesting to see who is in charge next year and how that affects things. For me, for now, the focus is on getting healthy, super fit and cementing a spot in the squad regardless of who is in charge, a challenge I look forward to.
